About Us
Established in 1950, Paisan’s, a locally owned Italian restaurant, has survived four moves. The restaurant got its start on Park Street and moved around the corner to University Avenue in 1951. In 1969, Paisan’s relocated to the basement of its sister restaurant, Porta Bella, and eventually found it’s home on University Square from 1975 to 2006. In 2006, a final move was made to our current location overlooking Lake Monona offering lakeside dining.
Paisan’s recipes have remained loyal to its roots from the historic “Greenbush” Italian neighborhood where the dishes were developed. Catering to families and delivering a small neighborhood atmosphere, makes Paisan’s a comfortable and delicious place to eat. We look forward to serving you.
